In Astronomy, as we all know are the heavenly body revolve around our star SUN. There are 9(including pluto) or 8 of them.
                                                  In vedic astrology the SUN is considered as planet not a star, Uranus, Neptune and pluto are not consider and it includes two more shadowy planets and RAHU and KETU which make 9 planets in vedic astrology. RAHU and KETU are mathematically calculated as sensitive points of intersection of the orbits of the Moon and the Sun.
                                                 These 9 planets of vedic astrology are as follows:-

• Sun (Surya)
• Moon (Chandra)
• Mars (Mangal)
• Mercury (Budh)
• Jupiter (Guru)
• Venus (Shukra)
• Saturn (Shani)
• Rahu
• Ketu
