One called south Indian type chart, in which rashies are fixed and 2nd is North Indian type, in which Bhavas or Houses are fixed. As we are going to deal with north Indian chart type, so will discuss only north Indian Type charts.
2nd thing is, there is a big difference between Bhavas OR houses and Rahies. Rashies can fall in any Bhavas OR house, depending upon which rashies fall in lagna at the time of birth.
Each one of the bhava (Houses) represent many aspect of a person's life like tanu bhav, it represent native ownself, his body, his heart, longevity etc.
There are 12 bhavas Or houses in a horoscope, which are show in the image and as follows:-
- Tanu Bhav OR 1st House
- Dhana Bhav OR 2nd House
- Sahaja Bhav OR 3rd House
- Matru Bhav OR 4th House
- Putra Bhav OR 5th House
- Ripu Bhav OR 6th House
- Bharya Bhav OR 7th House
- Mrityu Bhav OR 8th House
- Bhagya Bhav OR 9th House
- Pitru Bhav OR 10th House
- Labha Bhav OR 11th House
- Vayay Bhav OR 12th House
